Basic Information about the Webinars

What's a webinar?
Short for web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the web. A key feature of a webinar is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information. To participate in our webinar, all you need is a phone and computer with internet connection!

Who should register for the webinar series?
The series is designed for Jewish communal professionals and volunteer leaders who want to learn concrete techniques, effective strategies, and innovative approaches to help transform their communities through the unique outreach methodology that JOI has developed over the years.

Who will lead the webinars?

Eva SternWebinar sessions will be facilitated by Eva Stern, JOI’s Director of Training. Eva has coached and consulted with professionals and volunteer leaders from hundreds of Jewish organizations throughout North America (including from synagogues, JCC’s, Federations, and Hillels), to help them better find, welcome, and engage thousands of unaffiliated Jews and intermarried families. Eva is a sought-after speaker and has addressed venues across the continent, leading informative, motivating, and interactive workshops and training sessions. Webinar sessions will include presentations by:

Rabbi Kerry OlitzkyRabbi Kerry M. Olitzky, JOI's executive director is one of the leading rabbinical advocates for outreach to interfaith and unaffiliated families in America. A leader in the development of innovative Jewish education, particularly for adults, Rabbi Olitzky has shaped training programs for clergy of all faiths, especially in the area of pastoral care and counseling in the Jewish community.

AND

What if I'm not available on the scheduled webinar date?
Access to a recording of the webinar will be made available online immediately following the live webinar for those who register. However, participation in the live webinar is preferable as it will allow for interaction with other participants and presenters during Q&A.
