Internship Opportunities at JOI

What is so great about being part of the Jewish people?

Answering that question with relevance and meaning is essential if the organized Jewish community is to welcome more newcomers, including the growing numbers of non-Jewish family members through intermarriage, and those who have felt marginalized in the past like Jews of color or gays and lesbians. If opening the Jewish communal tent is part of your own personal mission, we invite you to apply for a semester or year-long internship at the Jewish Outreach Institute (JOI). An internship at JOI offers you the opportunity to work in several areas of Jewish outreach and engagement, including marketing, professional training, curriculum development, and evaluation. Before applying, please confirm that you fulfill the following requirements:
  • Full or part-time undergraduate or graduate student;
  • Can commit to working at least 10 hours per week;
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.
While our internships are unpaid, we are happy to work with candidates to obtain academic credit or school sponsored compensation if either is offered by your academic institution. The Jewish Outreach accepts interns on a rolling basis. Please send a cover letter and resume to JOI office manager Ivana Bradanovic at IBradanovic@JOI.org to apply.
