This three-session program provides Jewish men who are in interfaith relationships with information and strategies for creating a Jewish home. Participants in the program will be empowered to answer their partners' questions about Judaism and clarify their positions on having a Jewish home and raising Jewish children. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to share challenges they have encountered or anticipate encountering---for example, balancing the religious concerns of both sets of grandparents, the unification of family, celebrating holidays of other religions in the home and finding a welcoming Jewish community. Indianapolis, IN: How Should I Know will take place on April 12, April 26 and May 3, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Please contact Patti Freeman Dorson at themotherscircle@comcast.net for more information. How Should I Know is a program of the Jewish Outreach Institute.
The How Should I Know curriculum has been developed through a Berrie Innovation Grant from the Berrie Fellows Leadership Program, an education and leadership program funded by the Russell Berrie Foundation. |
