Sukkot, which comes on the fifth day after Yom Kippur,
lasts for seven days. During that time, we remember
the protection God gave to the Jewish people during
the forty years they spent travelling in the desert.
This year (2009), Sukkot begins on the evening of October 2nd.
Legend has it that our forefather Abraham sat in his
tent, with the flaps of the tent folded up on all four
sides, so he could welcome weary wayfarers from every
direction...
