Make Your Organization More Welcoming

Members of the Big Tent Judaism Coalition have access to the Jewish Outreach Institute's tools to help you open the doors of your organization and include all who wish to take part in your events. The Jewish Outreach Institute offers professional training through:
  1. Access Full-Staff Welcoming Campaign.
Find links to this and other initiatives to help Jewish organizations become more welcoming.
  2. The Jewish Professionals Login Network (JOPLIN) website.
JOPLIN brings together Jewish professionals from across denominational and institutional lines to improve the way the entire North American Jewish community reaches out to those on the periphery. It provides free on-line training, support, research, best-practices, and exchange of ideas toward the goal of further professionalizing the field of Jewish outreach. The JOPLIN website is open to all who engage in or supervise the varied forms of outreach to the unaffiliated and/or intermarried, including Jewish educators, social workers, federated and communal professionals, clergy, volunteers, and lay leaders.
  3. The JOPLIN listserve.
The JOPLIN listserve allows Jewish professionals to exchange thoughts and ideas and share resources for welcoming newcomers into the Jewish community and engaging existing members of your organization.
  4. Webinars.
Find more participants, grow your Jewish community, learn a new kind of outreach for the 21st Century! Join us for a 4-part Webinar series because together we can change the landscapre of the North American Jewish Community and beyond.
  5. Phone and in-person consultations and training sessions.
Please contact Eva Stern to schedule a phone consultation about issues and programs specific to your organization or to bring a JOI staff member to your community for in-person professional training.
