Congregation Dorshei Emet

Dorshei Emet is a welcoming Jewish community in which any Jew can participate and explore his Jewish heritage, regardless of background, gender, current level of observance, Jewish knowledge, age, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.

Our aim is to integrate Jewish spiritual practices, ethical values and cultural experiences into everyday life through learning, home rituals, the arts, values-based decision-making, and acts of tikkun olam, tzedakah and gemilut hasadim – world repair, social justice and compassion.

Our congregation’s Hebrew name, Dorshei Emet, “Seekers of Truth”, reflects our commitment to lifelong spiritual growth and study.

As a proud affiliate of the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation (www.jrf.org), we seek to promote the cause of progressive Judaism in Montreal.
