Jewish Federation of Winnipeg

Jewish Federation of Winnipeg is committed to welcoming all Jewish community members, regardless of degree of involvement, into organized Jewish community life. Recognizing that we operate in a small but diverse community in which people express their Judaism through a variety of means, both traditional and non-traditional, Federation is making a determined effort to include everyone in the community in planning for a vibrant and sustainable future. Federation hosts numerous community events year round and sponsors several special interest groups aimed at identifying and responding to the needs and interests of myriad specific age groups including teens, young adults and recent immigrants. As a result of a recent comprehensive strategic planning review, Federation is in the process of assembling task forces to explore the issues of Jewish engagement, retention and communications, among many other areas. In doing so, it is working closely with representatives of all other Jewish agencies in the city, with the aim of creating a strong and proud community identity for all. We offer some of these programs ourselves and some are offered through our beneficiary agencies.
